Rich Dad Poor Dad’ Author Robert Kiyosaki Reveals He Owes $1.2 Billion on Real Estate Deals

Robert Kiyosaki, the bestselling author of _Rich Dad Poor Dad_, has disclosed that he is carrying about $1.2 billion in debt tied to his real estate portfolio.

Speaking in a recent interview, Kiyosaki said the liabilities stem from large property investments he made over the years. Despite the huge figure, he described the debt as “good debt” used to acquire income-generating assets.

The 77-year-old finance educator argued that borrowing to buy real estate is part of his wealth strategy. According to him, the properties produce cash flow and are expected to appreciate, which helps offset the loans taken to purchase them.

Kiyosaki has long promoted the idea of using leverage and other people’s money to build assets. He maintains that debt is not automatically bad when it is attached to investments that pay for themselves, rather than consumer spending.

While the announcement has sparked discussion online, Kiyosaki insisted he is not worried about the obligations. He said his focus remains on assets, inflation hedging, and long-term wealth creation through real estate and other investments.
