Nigerian Troops Disrupt Terrorist Logistics Network in Kogi State, Arrest Two Suspects

Nigerian troops have successfully dismantled a suspected terrorist logistics supply network operating in Kogi State, resulting in the arrest of two individuals believed to be involved in providing support to terrorist elements.

The operation, conducted by personnel of the 12 Brigade under Operation MESA, targeted areas where intelligence indicated active facilitation of terrorist activities through the movement of essential supplies.

During the coordinated effort, the troops intercepted logistics couriers and disrupted routes used to deliver materials to terrorist hideouts.

The arrested suspects are currently in military custody pending further investigation and potential prosecution. Items recovered during the operation included motorcycles and other materials linked to the supply chain.

This development forms part of the Nigerian military’s sustained campaign to enhance security across volatile regions by targeting not only active combatants but also the enabling networks that sustain them.

Authorities have emphasised the importance of such intelligence-driven actions in weakening terrorist capabilities and restoring confidence among local communities in Kogi State.
