The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to prominent Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord.
The ruling follows his remand at Kuje Correctional Centre since early April 2026, during which he spent approximately 16 days in custody, including the Easter period.
The case centres on allegations of impersonation involving social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly referred to as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia approved the bail on self-recognizance, requiring no monetary surety or cash bond. As a condition of release, the court directed Ifejirika to surrender his international passport.
Human rights activist Omoyele Sowore, who attended the proceedings, publicly confirmed the outcome, describing the terms as notably lenient. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing legal dispute between the two public figures.
The matter remains before the court, with further hearings scheduled in due course. The case has attracted considerable public attention due to the high profiles of the individuals involved.
