The development was formally announced by the Zamfara State APC Chairman, Tukur Danfulani Maikatako, during a stakeholders’ consultative meeting convened in Gusau on Saturday. He characterized the governor’s return to the APC as a homecoming to his original political platform, noting that Zamfara has long been regarded as a stronghold of the party.
The reception ceremony is expected to feature several members of the governor’s cabinet, along with prominent PDP figures who are also defecting to the ruling party, thereby signaling a potential expansion of the APC’s membership base in the state.
