In a statement issued following his recent nomination, Mr. Oritsebemigho (Reno) Omokri expressed profound gratitude to God for the honour and pledged to serve Nigeria and humanity with dedication.
He extended special appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, describing the President’s leadership as visionary and exemplary, and credited him with personally teaching the true meaning of forgiveness and patriotism.
Omokri stated that President Tinubu embodies Christlike qualities and is the right leader for Nigeria at this critical time, urging all citizens to extend full support and fellowship to him.
Omokri also paid tribute to his parents, Mr. Esijolomi Omokri and Mrs. Omerewumi Omokri, whom he described as the moulders of his character, saying they shaped him like clay received from God into the person he is today.
He equally acknowledged the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, reiterating a previous public commendation by declaring that if all the goodness in the world were to reside in one individual, that person would be Malam Ribadu.
In the closing part of his remarks, Omokri expressed deep appreciation to his wife, Hana, whom he affectionately called “yene konjoo” (my beautiful one), for standing firmly by his side and providing emotional stability throughout the past three years.
He noted that she remained a steadfast pillar during the period when certain individuals, described as enemies of the President, targeted him because of his unwavering support for President Tinubu and his loyalty to Nigeria. He concluded with prayers for God’s blessings on the President, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its continued peace, prosperity, and unity.
