Shamsuddeen Garba, a Gombe man, has been rewarded for his remarkable journey from Gombe to Abuja on bicycle. The 548-kilometer trip was a show of support for Dattuwa Ali Kumo, the deputy national treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who is known for his leadership qualities and philanthropic activities in Gombe State. As a token of appreciation, Shamsuddeen received a car gift and N700,000 in cash from Dattuwa.
The gifts were presented to Shamsuddeen by Imrana Haruna, the chairman of Gombe local government, on behalf of Dattuwa. In an interview, Shamsuddeen expressed his admiration for Dattuwa’s leadership and even urged him to run for the gubernatorial seat in Gombe State in the 2027 general election. This incredible gesture highlights the impact of Shamsuddeen’s journey and the appreciation of his efforts by Dattuwa and the APC.
