Anambra State Police Command has recorded a major success in its efforts to curb kidnapping and armed robbery. A 29-year-old suspect, identified as Ebuka, was taken into custody in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government Area. The arrest is connected to a kidnapping incident in which a substantial ransom of N15 million was paid.According to a statement by police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga, the operation also resulted in the recovery of the victim’s vehicle.
Additionally, a second suspect, Emmanuel Nwokpoku, 34, was apprehended by the police intelligence unit. The unit also seized a red Mercedes Benz GLE 450 during the investigation.The successful operation demonstrates the Anambra State Police Command’s unwavering commitment to combating crime and ensuring justice for victims. The police will continue to investigate the incident to ensure that all parties involved are held accountable.
