A major breakthrough has been achieved by the Nigeria Police Force in disrupting a notorious arms trafficking network operating across international borders. This successful operation has resulted in the seizure of a substantial cache of illicit firearms, including 17 rifles, ammunition, and equipment used for manufacturing firearms.The arrests were made on November 18, 2024, by a specialized team of operatives who had been tracking the suspects.
The individuals taken into custody have been identified as key players in the arms trafficking syndicate. The confiscated items include a mix of locally fabricated and imported firearms, as well as ammunition and equipment used for fabricating rifles.

10 locally fabricated AK-47 rifles
– 5 Israeli AK-47 rifles-
1 revolver pistol-
1 pump-action rifle-
20 rounds of AK-47 ammunition-
A welding machine used for rifle fabrication.
This achievement underscores the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to combating criminal activities and strengthening national security.
