The Edo State government has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) Transition Committee of raising false alarms about not receiving necessary documents for a smooth transition. According to Chris Nehikhare, the state’s Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, the APC committee, led by Dr. Pius Odubu, has been absent from crucial meetings, indicating their unwillingness to ensure a peaceful transition.
Nehikhare revealed that the government has provided all required documents in digital form, but the APC committee insists on hard copies, which have also been provided. He believes the APC committee is overstepping its boundary by demanding documents meant only for the governor-elect and outgoing governor. The government remains committed to providing necessary information, but the APC committee’s actions may undermine the transition process.
