Tolu Arokodare was on target again for Ajax, but his effort could not stop a 3-1 defeat to PSV in the Eredivisie.
The Nigerian forward found the net to register his fifth goal since joining the Amsterdam club. It was a bright moment in an otherwise tough afternoon for Ajax, who struggled to match PSV’s intensity.
Despite Arokodare’s contribution, PSV took control of the game and punished defensive lapses. The home side scored three times to secure all three points and deepen Ajax’s woes in the league standings.
For Arokodare, the goal continues a promising personal run. Hitting five already shows he is settling in quickly and offering Ajax a reliable presence in attack, even as the team searches for consistency.
Ajax will now look to regroup quickly. With Arokodare in scoring form, the hope is that his goals can help turn results around and get the club back on track in the Eredivisie title race.
