Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, was at Dangote Peugeot Automobiles Nigeria Limited, DPAN, today for the formal launch of the 2026 Peugeot 3008 and 5008 models.
Speaking during the event, the Governor described the rollout as clear evidence of DPAN’s dedication to innovation, domestic production, and the expansion of Nigeria’s vehicle manufacturing sector. He said the company’s progress reflects what is possible when local industry is prioritized.
Governor Sani noted that ventures like this drive industrial growth, facilitate the transfer of technology, and generate employment for young people. He added that such investments also contribute to broader economic development. The Kaduna State Government, he said, remains committed to backing private sector partners that bring real opportunities and strengthen the state’s industrial foundation.
To demonstrate that commitment, he announced plans to present DPAN with its official land title documents. The Governor also said he will reach out to other state governors to encourage wider adoption and procurement of vehicles assembled by DPAN across the country.
The unveiling of the new 3008 and 5008 SUVs is expected to boost DPAN’s production capacity and visibility in the Nigerian market. Government officials and company management expressed optimism that increased patronage will further deepen local content and reduce dependence on imported vehicles.
