Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has dismissed claims that the North is opposed to President Bola Tinubu’s administration. He insisted that the region remains supportive of the federal government’s policies and direction.
Speaking during a recent engagement, the governor said the perception of northern resistance is inaccurate. According to him, many leaders and citizens in the region recognize the efforts being made by the current administration to address security, infrastructure, and economic challenges.
Governor Sani went further to project a strong electoral showing for President Tinubu in Kaduna come 2027. He predicted that the state could deliver about 80% of its votes to the President, citing growing trust in the government’s programs and renewed engagement with grassroots communities.
He added that the administration’s focus on agriculture, education, and security interventions in the North has helped build confidence. The governor also urged political stakeholders to avoid narratives that suggest division between the presidency and the northern states.
The comments come amid ongoing political discussions ahead of the next general elections. Governor Sani said unity across regions will be critical to sustaining progress and ensuring the continuity of projects already underway.
