Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced a major reward package for outstanding students of Lagos State University.
The governor presented N20 million each to the best graduating students from LASU for the 2024/2025 and 2025/2026 academic sessions. The gesture is aimed at recognizing academic excellence and encouraging high performance among undergraduates.
According to the announcement, the financial reward is one of the biggest state-backed incentives for university graduates in Nigeria. It reflects the government’s commitment to celebrating merit and motivating young people to excel in their studies.Officials said the award also underscores the administration’s focus on education as a key driver of development in Lagos.
