Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has issued a legal warning to streamer Carter Efe over comments she says damaged her reputation.
In a pre-action notice dated July 30, Phyna’s lawyers at Eko Solicitors & Advocates accused Carter Efe, real name Joseph Oderhohwo Efe, of making defamatory statements during a livestream on July 25.
According to the letter, the alleged remarks were false and targeted Phyna’s character. Her legal team stated that the claims were made publicly without evidence and have caused reputational harm.Phyna is demanding ₦500 million in damages over the incident.
The notice also called on the content creator to retract the statements and issue a public apology within a specified period, or face a lawsuit.The development comes amid growing scrutiny of remarks made by influencers and streamers online. As of press time, Carter Efe has not publicly responded to the letter.
