APM Says Nigerians Are Embracing Makinde as an Alternative to Tinubu for 2027

The Allied Peoples Movement has declared that many Nigerians now view Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde as a viable alternative to President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In a statement, the party said the growing support for Makinde is linked to his performance in Oyo State over the past years.

APM argued that his governance record has resonated with citizens who are looking for different leadership options at the federal level.According to the party, voters are paying close attention to issues of infrastructure, welfare, and accountability at the state level.

It claimed that Makinde’s work in Oyo has positioned him as a name that comes up frequently in conversations about 2027.APM added that dissatisfaction with current national realities has made the electorate more open to considering governors with proven track records.

The party said this shift in public perception is becoming evident across different regions. The party further stated that as political alignments begin to take shape, Nigerians will weigh competence and delivery against party affiliation. APM maintained that Makinde’s profile continues to gain traction as a result of that evaluation.
