The son of the Bauchi State Governor has disclosed that his father is presently not affiliated with any political party, describing him as a “freelance politician” as discussions on realignment continue.
He made the statement while addressing loyalists amid growing speculation about the governor’s next political move.
He urged supporters to remain calm and patient as consultations with various stakeholders are ongoing. According to him, the governor is carefully evaluating his options to ensure any decision aligns with the broader interests of the state and his political base.
The clarification comes at a time of shifting alliances ahead of future elections, signaling that new political configurations may emerge in Bauchi. Loyalists were assured that updates would be provided once a definitive position is taken.
