The United Arab Emirates has reported the successful dismantling of a terrorist network with alleged links to Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah.
According to statements from the UAE State Security Department, security authorities identified and neutralised the cell, which had been operating within the country. Several members were arrested during the operation.
The network reportedly functioned under the guise of a fictitious commercial entity and was involved in activities such as money laundering, financing terrorism, and actions intended to undermine national security and economic stability.
Investigations revealed that the group coordinated with external parties in line with a strategic plan aimed at infiltrating the UAE’s financial system and threatening its internal security. This development forms part of broader regional efforts to counter external threats and safeguard national interests.
The UAE authorities have emphasised their commitment to maintaining vigilance against such activities, reinforcing the country’s stance on protecting its sovereignty and stability from foreign-linked security risks.
