Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced an upward adjustment in its ex-depot prices for petroleum products.
Effective immediately, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) has risen to ₦1,275 per litre, while Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) has increased to ₦1,950 per litre.
This revision reflects ongoing volatility in international crude oil markets and associated external pressures that influence domestic refined product costs.
The adjustment represents a moderate increase for petrol, amounting to approximately ₦75 per litre or about 5 percent from the previous level.
In contrast, diesel has experienced a more substantial rise of ₦200 per litre.
Refinery officials have attributed these changes to factors beyond local control, including fluctuations in global oil prices and related logistical considerations.
This development is expected to have implications for fuel distribution and retail pricing across Nigeria.
Stakeholders in the downstream sector, including marketers and consumers, will closely monitor its effects on overall energy costs and economic activities in the coming days.
