Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company (IKEDC) has notified customers in parts of Lagos of a temporary power outage impacting the Ogba, Ikeja, and Alausa areas.
The disruption is limited to these specific districts within IKEDC’s franchise territory and does not affect other sections of its network.The outage resulted from a damaged jumper at a Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) injection substation.
This type of fault occurs when the jumper conductor, which connects sections of the power line, becomes severed or disconnected, interrupting the flow of electricity to the affected zones.
TCN has deployed its technical team to the location, and restoration work is actively in progress. IKEDC has urged residents in the impacted areas to exercise patience and assured them that power will be restored as soon as the repair is completed.
