Rapper Odumodublvck Faces Court Over Threats Against Chocolate City Executive

A Chief Magistrate Court in Abuja has issued a summons to Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck, also known as Tochukwu Ojogwu, over allegations of criminal intimidation against Olayinka Osagie Onobun, Head of A&R at Chocolate City Music. According to the court documents, Onobun accused Odumodublvck of using threatening posts on social media to intimidate him.

The allegations were made in a petition filed by Onobun’s counsel, Pelumi Olajengbesi, who urged the court to thoroughly investigate and prosecute the rapper for criminal intimidation. The Chief Magistrate, Farida Ibrahim, ordered Odumodublvck to appear in person before the court on November 6, 2025, to respond to the charges.

This development comes amid recent online clashes between Odumodublvck and some members of the Chocolate City camp, including Morin Oluwatobi, manager of Blaqbonez, and Jude ‘MI’ Abaga, a veteran rapper. Odumodublvck had accused MI of hypocrisy for staying neutral in the ongoing disputes within the hip-hop community.

The case highlights the ongoing tensions within the Nigerian music industry, with artists and industry executives frequently taking to social media to air their grievances. If convicted, Odumodublvck could face penalties under Sections 396 and 397 of the Penal Code Act.
