He Sacrificed my Mother: Daughter Accuses Akwa Ibom State Governor

Jane Edidiong Ufot, the daughter of Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno, has made shocking allegations against her father.

In a video posted on social media, she accused him of sacrificing her late mother, Patience Oluwakemi Umo Eno, who passed away in September 2024.

Mrs. Ufot, who serves as a senior special adviser to the governor, expressed fear for her own life and that of her daughter, claiming her father had threatened them.

The governor’s daughter appeared distraught as she handed her phone to her young daughter, who was seemingly on a video call with Governor Eno.

The child was instructed to ask her grandfather if he wanted her dead, repeating the question multiple times. The child’s mention of “them” and referencing the death of her baby brother added to the emotional intensity of the situation.

Mrs. Ufot’s accusations against her father are grave, and she seems determined to expose the truth, even if it puts her life at risk.

She stated that if she or her daughter were to die, her blood would not go scot-free, implying that she believes her father’s actions would have severe consequences.

The allegations made by Mrs. Ufot have sparked concern, and efforts to get the governor’s response have been unsuccessful so far. The governor’s media aide, Ekerete Udoh, was unreachable for comment.

The situation remains unclear, and the public is eagerly awaiting more information about the circumstances surrounding the late First Lady’s death and the nature of the threats allegedly made by the governor.
