I Will Love to Play the finals: Ter Stegen on Barcelona’s Future

Marc-Andre Ter Stegen is determined to play in the Champions League final if Barcelona qualifies. After being sidelined since September due to a patellar tendon injury, Ter Stegen has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has been working with gloves on the pitch for over a month.

His goal is to be available for Hansi Flick by the coming weeks, with estimates suggesting he could train with the group in about three weeks and potentially return to the pitch by mid-April l. This timeline would allow him to gain minutes in LaLiga before a potential Champions League final appearance.

However, there’s a catch – UEFA rules state that Barcelona would need to deregister Wojciech Szczesny, who replaced Ter Stegen, in order to reinstate him for the Champions League. This dilemma has sparked debate about whether Ter Stegen or Szczesny should start in goal if Barcelona reaches the final.
