FG Hands over 59 Rescued Kidnap Victims to Kaduna State Government

The Nigerian government has successfully rescued 59 kidnapped victims and handed them over to the Kaduna State Government. This achievement is a result of a joint effort by all security agencies, led by the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army in Kaduna.

According to the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the rescue operation was executed in line with President Bola Tinubu’s directive to intensify efforts to secure the release of kidnapped victims. The Chief of Civil-Military Affairs, Major General Gold Chibuisi, and the Coordinator of the National Counter-Terrorism Centre, Major General Garba Laka, also played key roles in the operation.

Notably, some of the rescued victims had been held captive for four months, abducted from different parts of Kaduna. Sustained military pressure forced the kidnappers to flee, leaving the hostages behind. The successful rescue and handover of the victims mark a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to tackle insecurity and protect its citizens.
