A remarkable achievement has been recorded by Daniel Dennis Oche, a 400-level student of the Federal University Lokoja (FUL), who emerged as the First Runner-up in the Kogi Music Talent Hunt competition, held as part of the ongoing Kogi International Carnival 2024. This exceptional feat earned him a staggering sum of Two Million Naira (N2,000,000.00) and additional cash prizes, further solidifying his reputation as a talented artist, popularly known by his stage name, Dheneazi.
As a student of the Department of Physics at FUL, Dheneazi’s victory is a testament to the diverse talents and capabilities of the university’s students. The Kogi Music Talent Hunt competition, which provided a platform for emerging artists to showcase their skills, was part of the broader Kogi International Carnival 2024, aimed at promoting cultural exchange, entertainment, and economic development in the state. Dheneazi’s win was further sweetened by a $500 donation and a pledge by one of the sponsors to cover the cost of a video shooting, providing him with additional resources to pursue his musical ambitions.
