Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, visited Zamfara State to strengthen collaboration between the state and the Ministry in a bid to curb the rising menace to lives and property in the state.
The minister credited Lawal’s support for successes against bandits. He commended Governor Dauda Lawal for supporting troops fighting banditry.
The visit followed Governor Lawal’s meeting with Badaru in Abuja. Lawal expressed confidence in troops’ ability to end banditry.He thanked Badaru for his dedication. The partnership aims to bring an end to banditry in Zamfara.
Lawal re-assured his commitment to working with security agencies for peace.
Zamfara faces numerous security challenges and pledged support to troops, procuring 10 bulletproof vehicles.
