Tinubu in Riyadh for Arab-Islamic Summit

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, a vital meeting of top leaders addressing issues bothering the Middle East. He was warmly received by Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdulaziz who is the deputy governor of the Riyadh region, at King Abdulaziz International Airport. This summit was hosted by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman: it comes at a much needed time chiefly with the ongoing Israel-Palestinian troubles.

At the summit, President Tinubu is expected to reiterate Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and emphasize the urgent need for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. Nigeria will push for renewed efforts to implement the two-state solution, aiming for lasting peace in the region. This stance aligns with Nigeria’s commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East. The Joint Arab-Islamic Summit follows a similar gathering held in Riyadh last year and will bring together top leaders from Arab and Islamic countries to discuss key regional issues. President Tinubu’s delegation includes notable Ambassador like Yusuf Tuggar and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.
